What types of personal information do we collect?

For Show 1 to operate, we must collect and process certain kinds of information to provide and improve our Service to you. Some information can be in the form of location of photos or items posts, or the date a file was created.

If you use our website for purchases or other financial transactions, such as when you make a purchase or list an item in the World Museum and Marketplace, or when you pay for a premium listing on one of our “sub-sites” (e.g., Personal Profiles), we collect information on that transaction for our records and your records. But we do not have access to nor do we collect information on your credit card, PayPal, Stripe, or other methods of payment.

Please keep in mind that some of the information you post on Show 1 is publically visible, such as information you include in your profiles. However, your phone number, if you choose to include it, is visible only to Show 1 members whom you have befriended. Please also note that when you buy or sell something from the World Museum and Marketplace, it will be necessary to exchange certain personal information in the transaction (e.g., information needed to complete a transaction, such as shipping and contact details).

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data"). This information is necessary in order for Show 1 to operate efficiently. This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and we hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Other tracking technologies are also used such as scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our Service.

Unlike some of our competitors, we do not provide advertisers with information about the kinds of people seeing their ads and how their ads are performing.

Vendors and Service Providers

Show 1’s service providers who support our business -- such as those providing technical infrastructure services, analyzing how our Products are used, providing customer service, and facilitating payments -- enable Show 1 to operate (by, for example, providing hosting services) and may be able to infer information about our users.

How can you manage or delete your personal information?

You can manage or delete information by going to your dashboard and clicking on “My Data.” From there, you can download, review, or delete any of your data.

If you delete all your profiles on any Show 1 sub-site, we will delete all content associated with that profile, such as collections, item listings, apps, photos, personal, professional, or business profile. Please note that you will not be able recover that information later.

When you delete your information it is immediately removed from our website. For legal, law enforcement, governmental, and data recovery purposes only, our backups -- which are encrypted -- maintain copies of this information.

Please keep in mind that posts or information you have shared on other members’ pages, such as comments, conversations, or other content, do not belong to you and cannot be deleted. If other members have shared information about you, that content also cannot be deleted because it is not part of your own account.

We may retain and use your information to resolve disputes, comply with applicable laws, or enforce our legal policies.

How Do We Deal With Harmful Content or Violations to Our Terms of Use?

We use a flagging system that works as follows. If we receive three flags from three different members on content that can be flagged, we investigate the item or content and it is automatically delisted. If we determine that the content or item does violate any law or the terms of service of Show 1, the content or item will be removed. The member account responsible for this violation may be suspended or deleted. For example, if a member were to list an illegal item for sale in the Marketplace, or a member posted messages of hate in Personal Profiles, those actions would violate Terms of Service rules. The content would likely be removed and the member would be warned or have his or her account suspended or deleted, depending on specific circumstances.

What are your data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)?

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Show 1 aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete or limit the use of your personal data.

If you wish to be informed about what personal data we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us at

In certain circumstances, you have the following data protection rights:

The right to access, update or delete the information we have on you. Whenever made possible, you can access, update or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you.

The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.

The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.

The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format.

The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where Show 1 relied on your consent to process your personal information.

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.

You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority in the European Economic Area (EEA).

This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network, but Show 1 does not display personalized ads from Google nor from any other ad network that tracks user behavior. In other words, Show 1 uses only “ethical ads,” which do not track you.
