Researchers developed a bandage that changes color when it contacts the acidic microenvironment of a bacterial infection and releases an antibiotic. If drug-resistant bacteria are present, the researchers can shine light to cause the bandage to release reactive oxygen species that kill the bacteria.

Researchers have found two distinct mechanisms by which foams collapse, yielding insight into the prevention/acceleration of foam rupture. When a bubble breaks, they found that a collapse event propagates via impact with the receding film and tiny scattered droplets breaking other bubbles.
