U.S. National Monuments in the Pacific Ocean do not harm fishing industry despite numerous claims, new study shows. The findings indicate that expansion of the Pacific Remote Islands and Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monuments did not cause economic harm to the Hawaii longline fishing fleet.
