Researchers developed a bandage that changes color when it contacts the acidic microenvironment of a bacterial infection and releases an antibiotic. If drug-resistant bacteria are present, the researchers can shine light to cause the bandage to release reactive oxygen species that kill the bacteria.

New research identifies gene, DUX4, that hides cancer cells from immunotherapy. Over expression of DUX4 is also the cause of genetic disease, Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD).
