TIL that in 1972 during the Vietnam War, dozens of sea mines randomly exploded off the coast of Hon La, Vietnam for no apparent reason. In 2018, it was discovered that a huge Solar Storm at the time had been the culprit, triggering magnetic sensors on the sea mines which led to sudden explosions.
