TIL that the US gave hallucinogenic drugs to soldiers to make sure they are prepared to exposure to chemical warfare. Between 1955-75 the army used 7,000 volunteer soldiers to test LSD, nerve agents, irritants, and blistering agents. Some volunteers were asked to workout & do math while on LSD.
